5th Avenue Apple Store

I need to make a confession… I’m a huge Apple tech nerd. I’m sure that comes as a complete shock to everyone who reads this blog. And recently, there was an epic event in the Apple nerd world – the opening of the new 5th Avenue Apple Store. Here is a picture of the “Cube” from across the street.

I have a whole lot more pictures here on Flickr.com.

I'd like to add that Ashley and I saw I.M. Pei's glass pyramid together when we visited Paris in Spring of 2003.

My mom's 2 cents about the new Apple Store (from cnn.com)

The striking Fifth Avenue entrance -- a 32-foot glass cube emerging from a gray and white marbled plaza -- was inspired by I.M. Pei's glass pyramid at the Louvre in Paris, said Jobs, who helped design it.

And now, Johnson said, "in the city that never sleeps will be the store that never closes."
