Taylor in the NYC
January 6, 2006 | Filed Under family, nyc, visits
You heard right. Taylor was in NYC before Christmas. And despite being hounded by all the papparazzi, we managed to have a great time. Oh, and Clay Williams was in town too, so he got to tag along… just kidding Clay, you know we love you.
If you are interested in the trip itinerary, it’s all here. Just click on the link below.
- Arrivel: Thursday, December 15. Had nachos for dinner and played 2 rounds of Texas Hold’em.
- Friday. Ate at Blue Moon near my work (17th and 8th ave) and went to see our neighbor Chaz in an off-broadway semi-Christmas play. Afterwards, the five of us went to bar 10 at the Westin for drinks (and delicious coca-colas that Clay decided to share with my shoes.) May West also made a short apperance.
- Saturday. Shopping extravaganza in Chinatown, Soho, and Macy’s, visiting The Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree, watching Saks’s snowflake light show, and a late night movie at the Ziegfield Theater – the Producers.

- Sunday – Top of the rock. We also went to Central Park, the Metropolitan Museum of Art and checked out Bloomy’s holiday windows. Later Sunday night we visited Chaz & Liz for holiday cocktails and a round of Balderdash.

- Monday. Wicked! (see Tay’s comment below for her review)

- Tuesday. Transit strike meant that I had to walk to work. No one else really did anything, but Taylor made a delicious pasta dinner.
- Wednesday. Transit strike continues, but now Ash and I are off work. We had an adventure finding a cab to take all 4 of us to Laguardia – thanks a lot for your courteous canceling 333 cars. Finally, we flew south for Christmas.

Well, first of all Daniel and Ashley were great hosts the whole time. I got some homemade pancakes and some nachos (despite crying when I had to cut up the onions) and even those tickets to WICKED were a gift for me. Wow.
!!
So WICKED was ammmmaaazziinnnggg. I cried. Twice. And I tell everyone I saw it in New York…I just walk up to strangers and I tell them. They look a bit confused but its the South, you can do a lot more stranger interactions than in ol’e NY.
All in all, I had the BEST TIME and I love you both
(p.s. we didn’t see Katie Holmes)
