nice sunny day for a walk to work

Of course it’s 22 outside (10 if you count wind chill) and we live 2 1/2 miles from my office. You might be wondering why I would attempt something that many of you in the South would consider borderline lunacy instead of just taking the subway (the good, old reliable subway.)

Well, because there is no subway today. Local 100 of the Transport Workers Union is on strike. Read more about the whats, whys, and hows here – CNN.com article

    I am still part of the Carl’s email. I know this will seem not fun after awhile, but you are part of history as this last happened a generation ago. Guess riding a bike in the ice and snow would not have been the thing to do today. See you soon. Grammy
